Today's Gratitude Item: I discovered today that it is really easy to import data directly from the web into an excel spreadsheet. This will make life quite a bit easier in many ways.

Today's Gratitude Item: A rather productive day. Managed to get a whole lot of little things done and I did not have to get up early :)
Autumn is my favourite season. Must have something to do with the colours!

Today's Gratitude Item: That I can work from home tomorrow and Friday. I'll still be making resources, but its nice not to have to go into the office to do this.

Today's Gratitude Item: That my pigeon hole at work has shifted slightly. Before, it was on the top row which meant I had the choice of either doing a small hop to see what was in it, or doing the more popular "stretch and feel" routine. Now its come down a row which means a quick glance is all that's needed to see if there is anything in there.

Today's Gratitude Item: That its really easy to place adverts in the classifieds of our local newspaper. I'm once again looking to do some private tutoring and placing an advert over the Internet is much, much more convenient than having to do it over the phone.
Avoided the temptation to go overboard with this one.

Today's Gratitude Item: Progress. Am getting toward the end of two of my current projects. In one case, this means hopefully getting paid in the not too distant future :)
Could not decide on the colours for the fan and by accident made it black. Sometimes accidents can be fortuitous.

Today's Gratitude Item: That it rained all day today. We need the wet stuff, even though it can be inconvenient at times.

Today's Gratitude Item: Camp week. Everyone at school is "out" all of next week at camp. Due to the part time nature of my role, I don't have to go on camp which means next week will give me time to create resources, do marking and play with some cool technology (although the playing happens in my own time). Am looking forward to it.

Today's Gratitude Item: A while ago, I designed a CD cover for Nigel Moore's new CD - In the Shadow of Fear. The completed CD with artwork arrived in my mailbox yesterday and it was very exciting to see my work on a commercial product.

Today's Gratitude Item: Not having to be out on the field all day at sports. I ended up teaching the seniors indoors instead :)

Today's Gratitude Item: The ability to learn from past mistakes. Lets just say that this time round, I saved my work before the program crashed.

Today's Gratitude Item: A fun picnic at the beach. Also a good time to get some reference shots of sea shells. It would have been even better if the pictures had not been so blurry. Never mind. Will try again next time I go to the beach.

Today's Gratitude Item: Getting new sneakers - at a great price. They were on sale, so got two pairs for the price of one. Given that a pair only lasts about 6 months (roughly 1250 km's) getting two pairs made sense.
Our kitchen timer got a Valentines makeover :) The real thing is not pink with hearts, but it would be cool if it was.

Today's Gratitude Item: That the vast majority of my students are doing there homework consistently. This could have something to do with the fact that its early in the term and they know that I'll check it when its due. Could also be one of the joys of working in an Independent school.

Today's Gratitude Item: A Valentines day onion. I'm not joking. One of my ex-students gave me a Valentines day onion when he saw me at school today. Said onion had written on it "happy Valentines", a heart and "I give you this onion". We're still not exactly sure why I got an onion, but every time I see it, it makes me laugh. It will probably end up as a dinner component at some point. Got to give this student points for originality.

Today's Gratitude Item: My spare sneakers. My "current" pair is totally worn out. I tried to get new ones on the weekend with no success. Must try again before the "spare" pair gets worn out too.

Today's Gratitude Item: Finally getting a haircut! I should have done it on Sunday but "life" got in the way. Happily, had a "light" day today and had time to get it done.

Today's Gratitude Item: Things are starting to get busier at school / work. The busier they get, the more extra relief I get :) This makes me very happy.
The idea behind the clock is not mine! I saw a real life version of this when I was relieving at a certain school in their Chemistry lab. I liked it a lot. The only problem is that most people miss the humour.

Today's Gratitude Item: Perseverance. Turns out that if you stick at some things for long enough, success does happen. Pity that the process is sometimes on the slow side.

Today's Gratitude Item: Solitude. Sometimes, you need to be around people to realise how precious solitude is!
This one is dedicated to my mom. Some of my earliest memories are of my dad taking her tea or her making tea for my dad. They don't actually drink green tea, but that's what artistic license is for.

Today's Gratitude Item: A parking spot in the shade! The difference this makes is unbelievable. It was lovely not to *almost* burn my hands when touching the steering wheel. Note to self: Arrive at school early and grab a shady spot!
This bike is riding into the sun. The fractal reminded me of a wheel with lots of spokes, hence the bicycle.

Today's Gratitude Item: A public holiday coupled with amazing weather. Having a break mid week is very nice indeed.

Today's Gratitude Item: Omelette for dinner. Quick, easy and delicious.
You can tell its an ocean because of the tug boat. Cool thing is, I've always wanted to have a boat with my name on it. Now its happened (sort of).

Today's Gratitude Item: Good quality erasers. Very handy for getting rid of mistakes made when trying to solve Sudoku puzzles.
